Creating an Account

Getting started on SolMarkets is simple. Your account is tied to your crypto wallet, so there's no traditional signup process with emails and passwords.

Account Creation Process

Step 1: Visit SolMarkets

Navigate to the SolMarkets platform in your web browser. Make sure you're on the official site.

Step 2: Connect Your Wallet

Click the Connect Wallet button in the navigation bar. You'll be presented with two options:

• EVM Wallets - For Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, and other EVM chains

• Solana Wallets - For Solana-native wallets

Step 3: Sign the Message

After selecting your wallet, you'll be asked to sign a message to verify wallet ownership. This:

• Proves you own the wallet

• Creates your SolMarkets account

• Does NOT cost any gas fees

• Does NOT give us access to your funds

Step 4: You're In!

That's it! Your account is automatically created when you first connect. Your wallet address becomes your unique identifier on the platform.

What Happens When You Create an Account

When you connect for the first time, SolMarkets automatically:

1. Creates your profile - Linked to your wallet address

2. Initializes your balance - Starts at $0 (you'll need to deposit)

3. Enrolls you in Season 1 - Start earning points immediately

4. Sets your tier to Bronze - The starting tier for all users

Account Features

Once connected, you have access to:

Balance	Your USDC balance for trading
Portfolio	View all your active positions
Trade History	Complete record of your trades
Points Dashboard	Track your Season 1 progress
Referral Program	Share and earn (after unlocking)

Using Referral Codes

If someone shared a referral link with you:

1. Click their referral link before connecting

2. The referral code is automatically saved

3. Connect your wallet to create your account

4. You're now connected to your referrer!

You can also manually apply a referral code after creating your account from your Portfolio page (as long as you haven't already been referred by someone else).

Security Best Practices

Keep your account safe:

• Never share your seed phrase - SolMarkets will never ask for it

• Verify the URL - Always check you're on the official site

• Use a hardware wallet - For maximum security with large balances

• Bookmark the site - Avoid phishing through search engines
