Creating a market costs $5 USDC. This fee:

  • Ensures quality market creation

  • Prevents spam

  • Goes to the platform treasury

Make sure you have at least $5 in your balance before creating a market.

How to Create a Market

Step 1: Navigate to Create Page

Click Create in the navigation or go directly to /create.

Step 2: Fill Out Market Details

Market Title Write a clear yes/no question. Good titles are:

  • Unambiguous

  • Verifiable

  • Time-bound

✅ Good: "Will Bitcoin reach $100,000 by December 31, 2026?" ❌ Bad: "Will crypto do well?"

Category Select the voting style that fits your question:

  • Yes / No - Standard binary questions

  • Smash / Pass - Pop culture, trends

  • W / L - Wins and achievements

  • Over / Under - Numeric thresholds

  • Bullish / Bearish - Market sentiment

  • Cap / No Cap - Truth claims

  • Based / Cringe - Hot takes

Duration Type Choose how long your market runs:

  • Turbo - 10 minutes (fast-paced)

  • Blitz - 1 hour (quick resolution)

  • Daily - 24 hours (standard)

  • Overtime - Dynamic duration based on activity

  • Classic - Custom end date (you set the deadline)

Resolution Date (for Classic markets) When should trading end and the market resolve?

  • Set a specific date and time

  • Allow enough time for trading

  • Match the natural event timeline

  • Must be a future date

Note: For Turbo, Blitz, Daily, and Overtime markets, the duration is automatic based on your selection.

Resolution Source Where will the outcome be verified?

  • Official news sources

  • Statistics providers

  • Governing body announcements

Step 3: Add Description (Optional)

Provide additional context:

  • Background information

  • Why this question matters

  • Specific resolution criteria

Step 4: Review and Submit

Check everything is correct, then create your market.

Writing Good Market Titles

Be Specific

  • Include exact dates

  • Name specific people/entities

  • Use precise numbers

Be Objective

  • Avoid subjective terms ("successful", "good", "popular")

  • Stick to measurable outcomes

  • Define what YES and NO mean

Be Clear

  • No jargon or abbreviations (unless universal)

  • One question per market

  • Simple sentence structure

Market Creation Best Practices

Do

  • Research if a similar market already exists

  • Set reasonable timeframes

  • Use reliable resolution sources

  • Write clear resolution criteria

Don't

  • Create duplicate markets

  • Set resolution dates too far in the future

  • Use ambiguous language

  • Create markets you can manipulate

  • My Markets tab shows all your created markets

  • View trading volume and fees earned

  • Track market status (Active, Pending, Resolved)
